Raider skaters knock off RF in squeaker, are state-tourney bound
The Raider boys hockey team won its second trip to the state tournament in three years by shutting down River Falls' Pete Eloranta, who has proved to be as troublesome as El Nino, at least to opponents.

The Hudson Hockey Association will host the Wisconsin Peewee B2 state hockey tournament Saturday and Sunday at the Hudson Sports and Civic Center. Games start at 8 a.m. each day. Teams participating are Hudson, Wausau, Fond du Lac, Fox Valley, Madison Southwest, Superior, Madison West and Eau Claire.

The Raider girls earned the victory _ with bruises and possibly blood _ over Menomonie that propelled them into sectional play this weekend.

The Raiders beat Rice Lake in their last conference game of the season. They opened tournament play Tuesday night win a win at Eau Claire North and advance to the regional finals Saturday afternoon at Menomonie.

The Raider boys basketball team opened tournament play Tuesday night with a 72-46 win over Eau Claire North at North. The win moves Hudson into the regional finals Saturday afternoon. The Raiders play Menomonie in Menomonie at 2 p.m.
Two wrestlers are fifth, 2 others almost place at state
Two Raider wrestlers placed at last weekend's state tournament, and two others came as close to placing as a nearfall is to a pin.
U-15 girls win regional, go to state
Hudson's U-15 girls hockey team finished third in MAHA league play, behind Rosemount and Woodbury, with a 9-4-3 record.
