Watch: A marathon accomplishment in Hudson

Lakeland, Minn., resident Bruce Platzer stuffs cash in a Salvation Army red kettle Friday, Dec. 15, during a 30-hour marathon bell-ringing drive at County Market in Hudson. Bell-ringers at the time were St. Croix County Sheriff's Office deputy Nathan Belz, his daughter Lana Belz, and SCSO investigator Dean Fayerweather. Organizers said the effort raised $77,382. Cold temperatures didn't faze a host of bell-ringers volunteering for the Salvation Army last week in Hudson.

The 30-hour event spanning Thursday Dec. 14 through Friday Dec. 15 at County Market raised $77,382.
