• Hudson - Glenwood City Coach Booth pleads in trespassing case
• Hudson - Jury convicts Minnesota Man in drug trial

A former Glenwood City teacher and coach has pleaded innocent to trespassing at a woman's home last month.

Russell Frederick Booth, 57, Glenwood City, appeared in St. Croix County Circuit Court Monday and entered a plea on one count of misdemeanor trespassing. He was ordered to post a $200 cash bond.

The court set a status conference for April 11.

The former boy's basketball coach is accused of entering the house of Jessica Maria Quinn, 22, without permission in Glenwood City at about 8:30 a.m. Jan. 14. Booth was confronted by Quinn's boyfriend and left the house, the criminal complaint said.

Court records show Quinn had a two-year restraining order filed against Booth in 2002. She filed another restraining order against him on Jan. 26.

Booth, a former fifth grade teacher, was a very successful boys basketball coach at Glenwood City recording more than 400 victories.

A St. Croix County Jury convicted a Minnesota Man on four counts of felony drug possession late last Tuesday.

Ernest M. Moore, 40, St. Paul, was convicted of possession of heroin and possession of cocaine with intent to deliver and two counts of possession of non-taxed controlled substance following a four-day trial.

The charges resulted from Moore's arrest Oct. 28, 2005 following a traffic stop by a State Trooper in the town of Rush River.

The officer recovered 63.5 grams of cocaine, 151.5 grams of heroin and some $10,000 in cash in Moore's vehicle, the criminal complaint said.

The 12-person jury returned its verdict and was discharged from duty at 6:17 p.m. Feb. 20.
