• Hwy. 35 rollover injures one near Maiden Rock
• Passenger hurt when 3-wheeler overturns
• I-94 crash kills one, closes eastbound lanes

A Stockholm man was hospitalized late Friday night after his 2001 GMC Jimmy ran off Hwy. 35 and overturned in the town of Maiden Rock.

Michael J. Cole, 54 was southbound on Hwy. 35 at 10:44 p.m. when his truck crossed the centerline, entered the north ditch and rolled over.

Cole was transported to Fairview Red Wing Hospital by Maiden Rock Ambulance personnel. The extent of his injuries wasn't known, according to a Pierce County Sheriff's Department news release issued Sunday morning.

The crash remains under investigation.

The State Patrol and a paramedic from the Ellsworth Ambulance Service also assisted.

A St. Paul woman was taken to Fairview Red Wing Hospital early Sunday morning she and the driver of a three-wheeler were thrown from the three-wheeler they were riding along 370th Avenue in the town of Diamond Bluff.

Pierce County deputies were advised of the crash about 1 a.m., Sunday. The responded along with an ambulance from the Red Wing Fire Department.

The victim -- Stephanie D. Malloy, 22, of St. Paul -- was transported with undetermined injuries, according to Deputy Andrew Thoms.

The driver, David W. Kass, 21, of Hugo, Minn., wasn't injured. The vehicle was a 1983 Honda 185.

A 25-year-old man is dead and a 25-year-old woman injured after a one-car accident at milepost 1 on Interstate 94.

The injured woman was transported to a hospital. The accident, which took place Sunday afternoon, required that the eastbound lanes of I-94 near Hudson be closed. They were reopened at 4:35 p.m.

The Wisconsin State Patrol is investigating the accident prior to releasing further information.
