Hudson -- Weigand's wife charged in armored car robbery

The wife of a man expected to face felony charges in St. Croix County in connection with an armored car robbery has been charged in connection with the incident.

Debra Ann Wiegand, 29, 629 Kinnickinnic St., Hudson, made an initial appearance before Judge Edward F. Vlack May 11 on two counts of armed robbery and one count each of receiving stolen property, arson and driving a vehicle without consent, all as party to a crime. She was ordered to post a $100,000 signature bond, and a preliminary hearing was set for June 29.

Debra Wiegand allegedly aided her husband, Zachary R. Wiegand, 32, Hudson, on May 29, 2003, when he allegedly robbed an armored car at gunpoint in the parking lot of what was then the Citizens State Bank on Crest View Drive in Hudson. A police report said some $235,000 was taken in the heist.
