Hudson -- Ledesma sentenced in probation violation

A man charged with homicide in the death of a young woman in Hudson last year has been sentenced to prison on a probation violation in a 1996 case.

Christopher Soriano Ledesma, 30, St. Paul, was sentenced to six years in prison to be served along with his current felony prison sentence in Minnesota.

e is serving a five-year sentence in Minnesota on a conviction for possession of a firearm by a felon, which was one of the probation violations listed in court records.

Ledesma is currently awaiting trial on a homicide charge in connection with the Sept. 20, 2008, death of Kelly Lynn Dahm, 19, Maplewood, Minn., whose bullet-pierced body was found in a car parked in the Government Center parking lot in Hudson.

An autopsy on Dahm revealed she had been shot three times, twice in the body and once through the head, the fatal shot, at about 2:30 p.m. the day she was discovered.

Ledesma was convicted Oct. 9, 1996, on one felony count of first-degree reckless injury. The charge stemmed from a June 6, 1996, altercation at the Apple River Hideaway Campground in the town of Somerset. The criminal complaint said Ledesma stabbed another man in the forearm and caused severe injuries.

Ledesma listed a Woodbury, Minn., address at the time of the incident. He is scheduled for a plea hearing July 17 in St. Croix County Circuit Court and possible sentencing in the homicide case.

Hudson -- Ahlman pleads in sex assault case

A former town of Kinnickinnic man charged with felony possession of child pornography and child sexual assault pleaded innocent to five felony counts at an arraignment hearing Thursday.

Craig F. Ahlman, 41, who listed a current address in Minnetonka, Minn., was scheduled to return to St. Croix County Circuit Court Sept. 2 for a pre-trial conference before Judge Edward F. Vlack.

Ahlman is charged with two counts of sexual assault of a person under 13 and three counts of possession of child pornography.

The criminal complaint alleged Ahlman inappropriately touched a 12-year-old girl on two occasions during Thanksgiving and Christmas when she was staying at his residence.

Sheriff's deputies conducted a search warrant on Ahlman's home office computer at 525 90th St. on Jan. 21 and turned up child pornography.

Ahlman and his wife, Christine, operate a wedding photography business out of their residence. Christine told investigators she and her husband have separate offices in their home.
