• Hudson -- Barker's employee charged with theft

Tracee D. Anderson, 28, of Hudson was charged Monday with a felony count of theft involving money she allegedly stole from her employer, Barker's Bar & Grill, 413 2nd St.

She began working at Barkers in September 2004 and worked until mid-December 2009. Barker's estimated the business was shorted over $55,000. Anderson told police during an interview that she may have taken about $4,000. She claimed she stole the money because she believed the business was charging too much for its drinks.

Her first court appearance is scheduled Jan. 25. The charge has a maximum penalty of five years in prison.
