Amery man dies of accident injuries HUDSON - A 74-year-old Amery man died Saturday from injuries sustained in a car accident earlier this month. According to the St. Croix Sheriff's Department, Dennis Lutz and Kathleen Lutz, 72, were westbound on Highway 64 in the town of Stanton on Aug. 2 when a vehicle in front of them driven by Joyce Gangl, 76, of Amery turned left onto Highway T. The two vehicles collided, and the Lutz vehicle then collided head-on with a car driven by Billie Briese, 20, of New Richmond. Dennis Lutz was taken to Regions Hospital in St. Paul, where he died.
