Fatal motorcycle accident claims Woodville man A Woodville man has died following a motorcycle vs. car accident in St. Croix County at 2:30 a.m. Tuesady, June 30. Brian Kuhlmann, 43, Woodville, was eastbound on 80th Avenue on his 1995 Honda motorcycle when a Mercury Tracer, driven by Cody Oehlke, 17, Glenwood City, failed to yield at a stop sign at the intersection of 220th Street. The motorcycle Kuhlmann was riding struck the car, propelling Kuhlmann into the west ditch. The car left the roadway and landed in the east ditch. Kuhlmann was transported to the Baldwin Area Medical Center and was pronounced dead by the St. Croix County medical examiner. Kuhlmann was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. Oehlke was transported to the Baldwin Area Medical Center with unspecified injuries. The death is the ninth fatality to occur in St. Croix County in 2009. The crash remains under investigation by the St. Croix County Sheriff's Department and the Wisconsin State Patrol. Assisting at the scene was United Fire and Rescue, Baldwin EMS, Baldwin Fire Department, Hammond Police Department and Woodville Police Department. Published 10:43 Jun-30-09 | TOP |
