• Pierce County teens ejected from vehicle during accident

Two Pierce County teens were taken to area hospitals after they were ejected from their vehicle during a rollover accident in the Town of Trimbelle just southwest of Ellsworth.

At around 3:05 p.m. Elizabeth Bolte, 17, Hager City, was driving a 2003 Jeep southbound on 750th Street near 490th Street when she lost control of the vehicle. The jeep left the road, rolled and came to rest on its top in a plowed farm field.

Both Bolte and her passenger, Kayla Huppert, 17, rural Ellsworth, were ejected from the jeep as it rolled, according to Pierce County Sheriff's Department officials.

The Ellsworth Ambulance Service along with the Ellsworth Fire Department and Pierce County Sheriff's Department responded to the accident.

Bolte was airlifted by Life Link helicopter to Regions Hospital in St. Paul where she was reported in fair condition Tuesday morning, according to a hospital spokesperson.

Huppert was taken to River Falls Area Hospital were she was treated and released.
