• Zenner promoted to Elmwood's superintendent
• Free VIP tickets available for Jo Dee Messina concert

ELMWOOD--The Elmwood School District wanted a smooth transition when Superintendent Barry Rose announced his resignation in February, effective June 30, to become Cumberland's superintendent.

Mission accomplished, as Adam Zenner, who is presently Elmwood's elementary, middle and assistant high school principal, was approved last month by the Elmwood School Board as the new superintendent and high school principal, starting July 1.

Zenner explained that, once he heard the position was open, he received support from the staff and school board to apply. However, he wanted to make sure it was the best move for his career and for his family.

"It's a big step up, but I'm excited about making the transition," he said. "I think this is a good fit for me professionally."

The contest ends 12 a.m., June 1. Winners will be notified and must agree to their name and city being published in corresponding RiverTown newspapers.
