BREAKING NEWS: Part of township near Arkansaw being evacuated Authorities are evacuating people in a Pepin County township following a natural gas leak. Residents living within a 1/2-mile radius of Silver Birch Road and Round Hill Road in Waterville Township just south of Arkansaw are being asked to leave the area, said Kim Seipel, Pepin County chief deputy. No injuries or fires had been reported as of 5 p.m., Seipel said, and emergency crews are on the scene. Authorities are waiting for representatives from Northern Natural Gas Co. to arrive on scene.
