Quinn Motors losing Chrysler dealership; one of 789 nationwide The economic struggle nationally has made its way to western Wisconsin in another way. Chrysler, LLC announced today in New York that they are closing 789 dealerships by June 9. Included on that list is Quinn Motors of Ellsworth, Chilson Motors of Eau Claire, Johnson Motors of St. Croix Falls and Larson Auto Center of Frederic. "This is a sad time," said an emotional Meghan Quinn Kummer, owner of Quinn. She estimated Quinn has been selling Chryslers for over 80 years. "Chrysler looked at a lot of different criteria that we didn't know about," she continued. "It's more complicated than what everyone knows. "This goes beyond the car dealers. It goes to everything going on in our country today." The Associated Press quoted Chrysler's bankruptcy court filing Thursday in New York that said the network is antiquated and has too many stores competing with each other.
