According to Greg Place, Ellsworth police chief, the high-speed chase started at approximately 11:05 p.m. on Saturday night near the intersection of Highway 65 and Ray Street in Ellsworth. An Ellsworth police officer noticed that Walker was driving left of the center line and had a headlight out on his vehicle. The pursuit continued north on Highway 65 until Walker's vehicle slid sideways and rolled multiple times just west of 759th Street. According to Place, Walker has been charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated along with several other charges. "We are forwarding the case to the district attorney for prosecution," said Place. Place added that Walker is currently on probation for unspecified reasons.
