UPDATE: Fallen toddler home without a scratch

After falling from a second-story window Tuesday morning, 15-month-old Teddy Norman sustained no injuries and came home from Regions Hospital within 24 hours of arriving via Life Link helicopter from the Normans home in Troy.

His mother Stacy Norman said doctors medicated him to keep him still during examination. They also kept him overnight due to the medication's effects, but the boy wanted to be up and active well before his release from the hospital.

Hospital media relations staff told the River Falls Journal Tuesday afternoon that his condition was serious.

Norman said she and her husband Brett feel very lucky that the accident wasn't worse and that their son is "perfectly fine." Look for a follow-up story and information about window-screen safety in the May 18 edition of the Journal.
