Congressman visits River Falls to support Page candidacy By Phil Pfuehler, RiverTown Staff U.S. Rep. David Obey will visit River Falls Saturday on behalf of Alison Page. Page is a Democratic candidate trying to oust Republican Shelia Harsdorf for the 10th District state senate seat. Obey represents Wisconsin's Seventh Congressional District in the northwest part of the state. He chairs the powerful U.S. House Committee on Appropriations, which makes funding decisions on every discretionary program of the federal budget. Page grew up in River Falls. For 17 years she served on the school board, including 11 years as its president. Page is the chief safety officer of Fairview Health Services, based in Red Wing, Minn. She and her husband David, a local dentist, live in River Falls. They raised five children here. Obey will attend a fundraiser at the Page home, 430 Crescent St., from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
