Air quality advisory continues For the second time in a week, the Hudson and Green Bay areas are being singled out for their poor air quality. The Department of Natural Resources issued new air quality advisories Monday for Brown and St. Croix counties. Both are in effect until noon Tuesday. The advisories are similar to ones issued for the same two areas late last week. They're due to a larger than normal amount of fine particles in the air from sources like power plants, vehicles and wood burners. The DNR said the air is considered unhealthy for those with respiratory ailments and they were urged to cut back on strenuous activities. Published 08:24 Jan-19-10 | TOP |
