Man dies following I-94 crash

An Illinois man who was seriously injured in three-vehicle accident on I-94 near Eau Claire early Monday morning died Tuesday. Thursday afternoon, the State Patrol reported the death and released the man’s name: James L. Lowder, 67, Park Ridge, Ill.

Thursday afternoon, the State Patrol reported the death and released the man’s name: James L. Lowder, 67, Park Ridge, Ill.

The multi-vehicle crash, which involved two semis and a pickup, occurred shortly after 2:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 4, in a westbound lane of I-94 near Milepost 58.

Lowder, who was driving a 2006 Ford pickup, was transported to Mayo Hospital – Eau Claire.

Another person was injured in the accident, but that name has not been released.

Lowder was wearing his seatbelt.
