At about 1:40 p.m. Thursday deputies responded to a one-vehicle rollover on County Road F approximately one-tenth of a mile south of 820th Avenue in the town of Clifton.

According to the report, Daniel Olivarez Jr. of Hastings, Minn., was headed south on F when he entered the west ditch area and his vehicle overturned. Olivarez, who was alone in the vehicle, was transported to River Falls Area Hospital with undetermined injuries.

Assisting at the scene were River Falls EMS, the River Falls Fire Department and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.

Officers also responded to a one-vehicle rollover on Hwy. 72 just north of County Road PP after being called at 5:20 a.m. Wednesday.

Jesse Mckune, 19, Elmwood, was headed north on Hwy. 72 when he swerved to miss a deer. He lost control of his vehicle, which entered the east ditch and rolled several times before coming to rest on its wheels.

Mckune, who was alone in the vehicle and wore a seatbelt, was transported to Red Cedar Medical Center in Menomonie with undetermined injuries.

Assisting at the scene were the Elmwood Ambulance Service and Gilles Towing.

Both accidents remain under investigation by the Sheriff’s Department.
