Grillmaster Holter to host national TV show

Damon Holter

Hudson resident Damon Holter, Grillmaster and owner of Croix Valley Foods, has been selected as host of a new television series, Fired Up Food, to begin airing in May of 2015 on Outside Television Network.

Fired Up Food is a new series dedicated to improving the experience of cooking outdoors over a flame. The show will showcase recipes, products and tips for memorable, easy-to-prepare, family-friendly meals cooked over a grill, smoker, campfire or camp stove.

“We are excited to have Damon on board as host of Fired Up Food,” said Steve Pennaz, president of EverFire Group. “He not only brings personality and expertise to this series on Outside Network, his recipes are creative, approachable and simply full of amazing flavor.”

The series will feature Holter’s original recipes for appetizers, meals and desserts cooked in various outdoor settings across the country. In addition to the recipes, Holter will provide additional tips and tricks for grilling and smoking dishes on the series’ website, www.firedupfood.com.

“The opportunity to get involved as host of this new program is absolutely amazing,” said Holter. “To be able to travel and share the experience of cooking outdoors with a national television audience has been a long-time dream that has paid off as a result of years of hard work in the BBQ industry. I’m very excited to see this all come together.

“I have spent years developing my craft and countless hours putting together recipes for the series. Fired Up Food is going to be the perfect platform to showcase how easy it can be to coax brilliant flavors from foods cooked on the grill and more.”

With a two-year contract with the network, the series will feature nine original episodes in its first season, with up to 36 new episodes in the 2015-2016 season. The program begins airing May 9 on Saturday and Sunday mornings on Outside Television Network. For programming details, go to www.outsidetv.com.
