21 artists, nine locations: Tour offers peek into working studios

The 14th annual ArtOPENer Studio Tour will be held Friday through Saturday, April 29-30 and May 1, and provides an opportunity to visit a mix of artist’s studios and galleries nestled along the St. Croix River.

Featuring fine art and contemporary craft, this tour includes studios extending from Stillwater in Minnesota to Hudson and River Falls in Wisconsin. Visitors of all ages are invited to meet and visit with artists working in a variety of mediums.

This year nine studio/galleries with their guest artists total 21 unique art styles representing jewelry, glass, painting, photography, pottery, fiber, sculpture and printmaking.

Nationally and regionally recognized artists including Edie Abnet, Julie Abnet, Joe Christensen, Nick DeVries, Nick Earl, Robbin Firth, Kirk Freeman, Diana Hatchitt, Phyllis Hunter, Roger Penman, Nolan Prohaska, Joe Samuelson, Charlotte Schuld, Joe Singewald, Zac Spates, Jerilyn Strand, Susan Strand-Penman, Marjorie Wade, Richard Reynolds Ward, Lauri Wilson and Scott Zeinert will be featured.
