No doubt many a commuter and other travelers who drive down Second Street on a regular interval have noticed Wayne Peterson sitting on the bench in front of the Croix View Apartments. The 68-year-old retired building engineer likes to take respite on nice days and watch the traffic go by. Many times he waves at the drivers and the drivers wave back.

Hudson couple defies age, competes in marathons
Don Wolkoff, who admits to never having been much of an athlete, has developed a fondness for the long distance run. Something he learned from his wife, Patty, some 17 years ago. Don, 71, has run about 30 marathons in the last two decades including Grandma's in Duluth on June 12. Patty, 59, has run in every Twin Cities Marathon since its beginning in 1982.
