Lakeland woman killed in crash

A 22-year-old Lakeland woman was killed in a one-vehicle rollover near the Hudson bridge at 2:20 a.m. Sunday morning.

Driver Trisha Ann DeCosse lost control of her vehicle on the I-94 westbound ramp from Hwy. 35 in Hudson. The State Patrol reported that three passengers in the vehicle were treated at Regions Hospital in St. Paul. The passengers were Ryan Daniel Platson, 21 and Jon Curtis Hartman, 19, both of Stillwater and Shannon Rae Munson, 21, of St. Louis Park, Minn. Platson and Hartman were treated and released. Munson remains hospitalized in serious condition.

According to police, DeCosse and her passengers were all wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident. The crash remains under investigation. This is the 11th traffic death of the year in St. Croix County.
