When the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra comes to Hudson next week, it would be a good idea to show up a little early. It might just make the evening's concert more memorable and more fun.
Homecoming incidents keep police busy
There were more than 36 calls to 911 between Thursday afternoon and late Saturday night. While it is not certain that all the calls noted below were related to Homecoming, it appears that the majority were. According to Hudson Police Chief Dick Trende, handling all the calls required a substantial amount of department overtime.
Semifinalists in the year 2000 Merit Scholarship competition named
The names of approximately 16,000 scholastically talented high school seniors, including four from Hudson High School, were announced as semifinalists in the 45th annual National Merit Scholarship Program. These semifinalists now have an opportunity to continue in the competition for some 7,600 Merit Scholarship awards, worth over $28 million, that will be offered next spring.
Middle School schedules conferences
Parent-teacher conferences for the Hudson Middle School will be held on Thursday, Sept. 30 from 4-8 p.m. and on Monday, Oct. 4 from 4-7:30 p.m.
Administrative News & Views
Parent-teacher conferences have been scheduled earlier in the fall this year to facilitate better communication between home and school.
