Hudson High School 'Raider Pride' marching band
Band wins top spot

On Saturday, Oct. 16 the Hudson High School "Raider Pride" marching band took top honors in the Wisconsin State Music Association State Marching Band Championships in Whitewater. The "Raider Pride" won caption awards in best percussion, best color guard and best visual performance. They then took first place in the first year division. The band's final concert is tonight in the HHS auditorium at 7:30 p.m.

Volunteer partnership announced
In an attempt to ease to the process of matching volunteers and opportunities, Hudson Community Action, Pierce Positive and the Washington County Volunteer Center have announced a partnership. The goal of the joined forces is to involve more people in volunteer services to help build stronger communities.



CCH cuts ribbon on courtyard garden
Bright sunny skies provided the perfect backdrop for the ribbon cutting ceremony on Oct. 9 for the Courtyard Garden at the Christian Community Home of Hudson. Auxiliary President, Mrs. Maureen Larson, Dan Dixon, administrator, and Lillian Stafney, resident, presided over the ceremony held in conjunction with the Annual Pie Social fund-raiser.



Hilltop Pumpkin Party is Saturday
The Hudson Hilltop Pumpkin party, a day's worth of autumn activities, is Saturday, Oct. 23, at Plaza 94 and Freedom Center, I-94 north Frontage Rd. in Hudson. The annual fall outing is sponsored by the Plaza 94 merchants and neighboring hilltop businesses.



Land use teleconference workshops to begin in November
UW-Extension is sponsoring a series of programs on land use and zoning topics via the Educational Teleconference Network.
