Mother designs and sews Halloween haute couture
Megan Bahneman's angel costume won her a prize at last year's Rotary Halloween parade. This year's Rapunzel, complete with 5 feet of braided blond hair, might just mean another prize. Rebecca Cooley's mother always made her costumes when she was a child. It's a tradition she enjoys continuing.

Rebecca Cooley wasn't sure she would have the energy to make her children's Halloween costumes this year but the as the official dress-up season drew near, she was inexplicably drawn to her sewing machine.

Rotary Halloween parade is Sunday
The Rotary Clubs of Hudson's annual Halloween Parade is Sunday at Newton Field, with judging beginning at 4 p.m. Community trick-or-treating is encouraged that afternoon and evening, before and after the parade. In case of bad weather, the parade will be in the adjacent E.P. Rock School cafeteria.
