Two airlifted from I-94 crash, Sunday traffic is clogged

Two women were airlifted to Regions Hospital late Sunday afternoon after a multiple car crash on Interstate 94 near milepost 4, just east of Hudson.

Terra E. Draeger, 25, Woodbury, and Lisa D. Miller, 28, Knapp, were ejected from Draeger's 1989 Mustang that was traveling westbound. The car was cut-off by another vehicle that swerved when a deer ran across the road. The Draeger vehicle went into the median and rolled, landing in the eastbound lane.

Draeger was reported to be in fair condition Monday morning; Miller was in serious condition.

Four vehicles were involved in the accident, stopping traffic in both lanes at the height of Sunday evening traffic. No one else was injured. The Wisconsin State Patrol continues to investigate the accident. The Hudson Fire Department, Hudson Police Department and St. Croix EMS responded to the scene.
