No charges yet against boy accused of principal threats
St. Croix County District Attorney Eric Johnson said Monday that no criminal charges have been issued against the 17-year-old boy whose alleged threats to shoot principals at Hudson High School disrupted classes Nov. 5.The boy was detained for a psychological evaluation following the incident. Johnson said he was waiting to talk to the boy's mother before deciding whether to file charges. When asked whether administrators would recommend that the boy be expelled from school, Superintendent Ron Bernth said they were "working on that situation." Meanwhile, the school board last week expelled another 17-year-old boy accused of bringing marijuana-laced brownies to school. Ross Hobson has been charged with eight felony counts of delivery of marijuana in that case. Bernth didn't name Hobson but said the school board had voted to expel the student involved in the marijuana brownie incident. Court records identify the student as Hobson. The school doesn't have any suspects in two incidents this month in which bomb threats were written on restroom walls, Bernth said.
