Bridge accident snarls traffic

A minor traffic accident on the Interstate 94 bridge snarled westbound traffic for more than an hour Sunday evening.

According to Wisconsin State Patrol, a Richfield, Minn., man swerved into the south guardrail of the bridge on westbound I-94 to avoid hitting a car in front of him. Bulmaro Castanedo, 25, and two passengers from Minneapolis were not injured in the accident. Castanedo was cited for following too close.

The accident occurred around 5 p.m. Westbound traffic on and approaching the bridge was stop-and-go for more than an hour following the accident.
