Sixth-grade band concert is tonight
The Middle School Sixth Grade Band will present its annual fall concert tonight at 7:30 p.m. in the Middle School Multi-Purpose Room. The "1-3-5" band will play "Irish Dance," "Canadian Folk Song," "Bell Canyon March" and "Needle in the Haystack. The "2-4-6" band will perform the "Mickey Mouse March," "Consensus," "First Concert March" and "A Seven Note Medley." The Middle School bands are under the direct of Connie Root and Carl Meincke.
Trinity students visit park
Fourth-graders from Trinity Lutheran School visited Interstate Park in St. Croix Falls recently. Students hiked along the state trail and studied many things, including the five glacier lobes that slid into the northern part of the United States.
Kids from Wisconsin seeks kids
Applications are being accepted now through Jan. 5 for positions in the 2000 Kids from Wisconsin performing group. About 33 positions are open for dancers, vocalists and band members, male or female, between ages 15 and 20, regardless of race, color, handicap or national origin.A 17-day training camp in early June is followed by a 10-week tour of Wisconsin and the Midwest, with daily performances at the Wisconsin State Fair.
