Confrontations began Saturday evening after some picketers in front of the new strip club allegedly said such places can encourage prostitutes to visit and walk the same sidewalks to pick up men.

House burns Saturday while owners attending Bible study

Rays burning residence A Saturday night fire destroyed the home of Nancy and David Ray while the couple was attending a Bible study in Roberts. Four departments fought the blaze just south of Hudson on Hwy. 35. They were Hudson, River Falls, Roberts and Lower St. Croix Valley.
