Studio night helped students
Students had extra time to work on art projects during studio night. Carla Phillips assists a student with a project in March. Phillips is retiring at the end of the year. The Hudson High School art exhibit will continue at The Phipps Center for the Arts through May 22. A reception to meet the artists will be Friday from 7-8:30 p.m. Selected artwork will be for sale. Proceeds from the sale will go toward the construction of a permanent gallery at the school. This may be the last year for an all-Hudson High School show at The Phipps. Next year's show will be opened to surrounding area high schools.

Phillips retires from art department but not art
Carla Phillips will be leaving the Hudson High School art department at the end of this school year, but she will not be leaving the field of art. After 19 years teaching at HHS, she is retiring. But she will continue to pursue her own artistic endeavors and work as a private tutor.
