If I could have been magically transported to any place in the world last Sunday it would have been to Madison Square Garden in the heart of midtown Manhattan.



Falcons win fourth straight
The UW-River Falls baseball team drew 21 walks and A.J. Burr cranked two home runs as the Falcons swept UW-Superior 9-0, 10-6 in the team's WIAC-opening series Saturday at Ramer Field.



College softball second at Augustana
The UW-River Falls softball team continued its up-and-down season by placing second in the 12-team Augustana Tournament with a record of 4-1 after dropping three of four games to start the WIAC season.



Falcon track strong at St. Olaf
Over the weekend, the UW-River Falls women's track team had another strong outing at the St. Olaf College Invitational. The Falcons finished fifth out of twenty-two teams with 66.5 points. Competing against some high-profile opponents like the University of Minnesota, St. Could State University, and the University of Minnesota-Duluth made the Falcons' finish even more impressive.



Fast start
After two wins by a combined score of 14-0, Wildcat girls soccer coach Hanz Lehrke doesn't want his team to get too excited.



Miscues lead to loss
The Wildcat baseball team couldn't take advantage of its opportunities while Rice Lake did.



Wildcat softball working out kinks
The Wildcat softball team was forced to make some adjustments last week when pitcher/third baseman Megan Blakely was sidelined with a sore arm. The result was plenty of work on the mound for Jessie Johnson and an assortment of defensive lineups in four losses.
