125th aniversary of the founding of the UWRF University milestone

Last Wednesday UW-River Falls began a yearlong celebration on campus to mark the 125th anniversary of the founding of the school. Hundreds joined in the initial celebration. The UW-RF Food Service delivered half a dozen sheet cakes with the anniversary logo, "Building on Tradition." Behind the cakes is an ice sculpture by John Kitzrow, a former UW-RF chef who now works at an Eau Claire restaurant. The sculpture gives the anniversary dates, 1874-1999.
