Home continues to be where Bye's heart is
One thing everybody is entitled to is a home. And because of the generosity and hard work of people like Karyn Bye and the folks at St. Croix Valley Habitat for Humanity, a family in Spring Valley is living in a brand new home today.
THE PIGSKINNY
As Bear Bryant, former Alabama coach used to say, "Hey, y'all, it's foot-bawl time agin." Actually, I have no idea whether he said that, but it seems like he should have said it, and that's close enough for me. And if he reads this, he may well wish he'd said it, it being so catchy and authentic sounding. Of course, that would be somewhat unlikely, considering he's dead and gone, you see. Anyway, I couldn't think of a good way to begin this column so I made that up. I hope you'll forgive me.
Fall sports kick in
The calendar says its still summer, but the fall sports season is in full swing.
