4-way traffic signal will regulate Hwy. 65 drivers

By the end of the year those driving around the Hwy. 65/35 bypass will be forced to stop.

Local singer-songwriter Thea Ennen entertained the crowd at Veterans Park last Friday during the latest concert in the Music in the Park series. Ennen, left, was joined by Stillwater's Dave Peterson on guitar and fiddle. Ennen and her band, The Algorhythms, recently released their third CD of original music. The group's self-produced debut, "All Aboard," was named the Minnesota Folk Recording of the Year in 1994. The Music in the Park series, made possible by funding from the Wisconsin Arts Board, St. Croix Valley Foundation and River Falls Main Street 2000 project, will continue every Friday in Veteran's Park through Sept. 3. Rock, folk and blues artists Danger Rangers will take the stage this Friday at 7 p.m.

Bad weather doesn't dampen enthusiasm for Family Fun night

Gray skies caused concern and rain brought an early finish for Kansas City Chiefs Family Fun Night last Thursday. Even so, it didn't stop Ramer Field from turning red - the color of the Chiefs' uniforms and the color worn by many fans and spectators.

"He was one of those rare individuals you don't forget," said DeWayne Meyer of his former high school teacher and basketball coach, Ed Cina. "He had the same outgoing personality in the classroom and on the basketball court. He was very humorous and used that humor to a very good advantage."
