KARE 11 reporter to speak at library
Children in 4th and 5th grades and their families are invited to a special program at the River Falls Public Library on Nov. 18, at 4 p.m.Belinda Jensen, a KARE 11 television weekend meteorologist, co-host of "KARE 11 News Saturday," and feature reporter for "Minnesota Bound," will present a program on weather. Jensen has been with KARE 11 since 1993 and previously worked at the National Weather Service in Salt Lake City, Utah. She also worked as a weather producer and co-anchored a sunrise show for 3 years at the ABC affiliate in Salt Lake City. She has received the AMS Seal of Approval for broadcast meteorology. Jensen has taken an active role in the community and in schools by involving students, especially girls, in science. This program coincides with Children's Book Week, Nov. 15-21. The theme is "Plant a Seed.Read!!!" The program will be held in the Catharine Lieneman Reading Area of the library. No pre-registration is required.
