TO THE EDITOR:

American Education Week is just around the corner. The nation will celebrate the best in public education, as it has been doing since 1921 when the American Legion and the National Education Association co-founded this event.

This year, the celebration is set for Nov. 14-20. Look around town for elementary student art work; ask your child what is going on in his or her school; send notes of thanks to your favorite teachers and please wear school colors on Friday, Nov. 20.

Let's paint the town blue and gold in order to show that River Falls supports its public schools.
