Falcons on TV

Saturday night's college football game between UW-River Falls and Winona State will be televised live from the Metrodome in Minneapolis on Midwest Sports Channel.

The Falcon game is one of three of this weekend's seven "Border Battle" football games that will be televised by the cable network. Teams from the WIAC will square off against teams from the NSIC in seven games on Saturday and Sunday.

Midwest Sports Channel, found locally on cable channel 31, will kick off its coverage of the "Border Battle" with the Falcons taking on the Warriors at 9 p.m. Saturday. Other games to be televised are UW-Stevens Point against Bemidji State at 2:30 p.m. Sunday and UW-Eau Claire against Northern State at 5:30 p.m. Sunday.

Other "Border Battle" games include; UW- La Crosse vs. UM-Duluth at 6 p.m., Saturday, UW-Platteville vs. UM-Morris at 8 a.m., Sunday, UW-Oshkosh vs. Moorhead State at 11 a.m., Sunday, and UW-Stout vs. Southwest State at 8:30 p.m., Saturday.

Tickets are on sale now at the UW-RF football office, room 12, South Hall. Price is $5, but $7 at the gate. The ticket will admit fans to both games on Saturday. Call the football office at (715) 425-3135 for more information.
