On a vote of 16-1, the Pierce County Board voted last Tuesday to move into the design development stage of planning a new judicial center. The resolution was amended to direct the architects to prepare the plans in such a way that the building could be built in stages.

A MARCH OF DIMES GRANT has been awarded to the Pierce County Public Health Department. The department will use the $5,000 grant to help promote the pre-conceptual use of folic acid, a B vitamin, in child-bearing-age women. Pair build business around yearbook-on-CD-ROM idea
SHELLY BURR AND LAVONE WEER have teamed in a new business that promotes high school yearbooks on CD-ROMs. Voila! Graphic Design and Interactive CD-ROMs is presently working with five area schools. The pair hope to eventually take their product nationwide.

Think about the possibilities if high school yearbooks were available on interactive CD-ROMs, rather than just in paper form.
