Grant helps public health department's fight against birth defects
A MARCH OF DIMES GRANT has been awarded to the Pierce County Public Health Department. The department will use the $5,000 grant to help promote the pre-conceptual use of folic acid, a B vitamin, in child-bearing-age women. Lori Cramer, left, of the March of Dimes made the presentation to Ann Rosenthal, department nutritionist, last Wednesday.
