Auditions set for one-act plays
Auditions for two one-act plays to be produced by the River Falls Community Theatre in February will be held Jan. 17-18 at 7 p.m. at the River Falls Public Library.
Awards, Recognition Banquet is Jan. 31
The River Falls Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Awards and Recognition Dinner Planning Committee has scheduled its banquet for Monday, Jan. 31, at the UW-River Falls Rodli Commons. The theme is "Catch the Wave."
Future development discussed in Clifton
A lively discussion on cluster development was the focus during the monthly Clifton town board meeting. Clustering homes in a development is a method of conservation design that all present were concerned about. Clifton board members plan to set goals and priorities to preserve the farmland open space.
Diabetes fundraiser is Jan. 22
The Juvenile Diabetes Foundation's "2000 Walk to Cure Diabetes" will be held Saturday, Jan. 22, beginning at 8 a.m. at the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minn.
