'Chain of Hearts' campaign underway at WESTconsin

WESTconsin Credit Union is hosting a "February Chain of Hearts" campaign to help sick and injured children.

The fundraiser will help children at Gillette Children's Hospital, western Wisconsin's Children's Miracle Network Hospital. The campaign runs through Feb. 29.

Last year over 300 children from western Wisconsin were treated at Gillette Children's Hospital. Those who donate as part of the "February Chain of Hearts" campaign will have the names of their loved ones displayed in the credit union lobby. Paper links bearing the names of loved ones sell for $1 each; hearts sell for $3 each; and donations of $25 or more are displayed on the "Wall of Fame."

The fundraiser is part of a statewide effort. The Children's Miracle Network hospitals serve families regardless of their ability to pay and treat children with cancer, muscle and heart disease, AIDS, cystic fibrosis and trauma.

Funds provide charity care, special treatment programs, research and equipment and go to the hospital nearest to where the funds are raised.

The local office is located at 1207 N. Main St. For more information, call 425-8113.
