Force fall to Hill-Murray in section playoffs

A big second quarter for Hill-Murray did in the Academy Force football team in a 56-30 loss to the Pioneers in the Class 4A, Section 3 playoffs on Oct. 24.

Academy Force scored its only touchdown of the first half on a touchdown pass from Ben Teigland to Cooper Falteisek, but the defense could not slow Hill-Murray from taking a 24-6 lead at halftime.

Hill-Murray kept rolling as it jumped out to a 43-14 lead after three quarters. Teigland completed a 53-yard touchdown pass to Ben Reimann in the third quarter. Falteisek and Sam Bissen also scored touchdowns in the fourth quarter.

Academy Force finished with a 1-8 record this season. Hill-Murray advanced to the section semifinals where it lost 38-7 to South St. Paul.
