NEW BERLIN - The founder of a suburban Milwaukee company that became nationally-known for its presidential Halloween costumes resigned today.
Jalem Getz, the CEO of Buy-Seasons Incorporated of New Berlin, said he wanted to pursue other opportunities. Getz and his partner Jon Majdoch started the business about 10 years ago. They later split up when Majdoch ran the physical stores, while Getz built the Buy-Seasons Internet businesses into the country's top on-line seller of costumes.
The company is part of Liberty Media, which is headquartered in Colorado. And Getz told the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel he's leaving because quote, "I'm a builder, not a consolidator."
