A liquor store could open in Woodbury's Commerce Drive Target store as soon as April.
Woodbury City Council approved a liquor license application from the store at the Feb. 28 meeting.
The addition would add the store to a list of about nine other Target locations throughout Minnesota that offer liquor stores with separate entrances.
Target representatives at the meeting said stores in about 38 states sell liquor.
The variety and availability, they said, varies depending on state and local regulations.
Other Minnesota Target locations with offsale include Shoreview, St. Louis Park, Plymouth, the Midway store in St. Paul, two locations in Otsego, the Nicollet Mall and Knollwood locations in Minneapolis.
