Four years ago Mike Christenson, a River Falls native, bought L&M's Bar at 220 Main St. in downtown Roberts. He renamed it Bobtown Brewhouse with a big goal in mind: bringing locally brewed, unique craft beer to the community.

In May 2016, Christenson and head brewmaster Katie Eells, also a River Falls native, launched their first craft beer named Lead Off Runner Cream Ale. The beer is brewed right in the backroom at Bobtown Brewhouse and is created with as many locally sourced ingredients they could get their hands on.

Since that first craft beer launch, Christenson and Eells have brewed 32 unique beers. Anyone can stop by during business hours and enjoy at least 10 different brews on tap at all times. Bobtown Brewhouse is open 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 10:30 a.m. to 2 a.m. Friday and Saturday.

Bobtown Brewhouse brews are also available in the wider marketplace; they are sold at 40 liquor stores and bars throughout western Wisconsin.

Christenson also enjoys providing great food to his patrons. He is grateful the community has been supportive of his efforts and has been cheering Bobtown Brewhouse on to success.

Some food highlights include great appetizers, wings, hand crafted burgers and a variety of other beverages. Read the full menu plus the list of Bobtown Brewhouse brews at bobtownbrewhouse.com.

Bobtown Brewhouse is being honored as the Central St. Croix Area Chamber Business of the Month in March. They are hosting a happy hour 4-6 p.m. Tuesday, March 19. Stop by and try out the brews on tap, plus meet the crew.
