About 100 people attended the fourth area Rise Tapping Into Possibilities "friend-raiser" Wednesday, June 12 at Hop & Barrel Brewing Co. in Hudson.

Rise services are relatively new to the Washington County and western Wisconsin area. Incorporated in 1971, Rise unlocks potential and opens doors to success for people with disabilities and other challenges through creative solutions and customized supports. They offer a wide range of employment, housing supports and life enrichment services.

Rise's administration offices are in Spring Lake Park, Minn.; in addition, they have 27 other office locations throughout the Twin Cities, Greater Minnesota (including Stillwater, Cottage Grove, and Oakdale) and New Richmond,. In 2018, Rise served more than 3,300 people with 450-plus team members on staff. Lynn Noren is Rise's president & CEO.

This "friend-raising" event gave Rise employees an opportunity to meet people, business owners and community supporters from the area.

Hop & Barrel Co-owners Brian Priefer and Justin Terbeest hired Nathaniel Johnson, who received career planning, job placement, and continued follow-up support services from Rise..

Funds raised from this event will go directly to Rise program services.
