The Prescott School's Parent Group's annual fundraiser, "Casino Night," is set for 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11 at The Old Ptacek's Event Center.

This is for all parents and community members to help support Parent Group and STEM initiatives within Prescott where adults get to gamble (using funny money), have fun and support the Prescott School District.

Tickets are available to the general public online or at Body Works, Croix Insurance, Ptacek's IGA, Prescott High School or district offices.

Besides gambling and music, this event has a great silent auction and live auction items. Come out for a chance to win a poker table and chairs, a custom-made-to-order chef dinner for eight, St. Croix boat excursion, exclusive wine tasting with cheese and chocolate pairings, wine tasting at Belle Vinez, plus Minnesota Wild, Minnesota Twins, UW-River Falls, Minnesota United FC Loons, and Green Bay Packers tickets or gear.

If you are thinking more about your kids, you can bid on items like K-6 art made by an entire class or a Prescott quilt. Perhaps you would love some one-on-one private softball, baseball or basketball coaching from varsity coaches, or perhaps your future Broadway star would like tickets to "It's a Charlie Brown Christmas" at The Phipps.

All guests of the event will enjoy tasty food, music, a variety of casino games, auction and fun. This year, working with an "old school Vegas" theme, there are "VIP tickets" available which provide one free drink ticket, special seating area, food service, swag bag and preferred parking. This is for folks who really wish they were a part of the old Rat Pack!

Cost is $30 per ticket for the general public and $40 for VIP tickets and can be purchased online at or paper tickets are available at Body Works, Croix Insurance, Ptacek's IGA, Prescott High School or district offices. Attendees must be 21 years of age or older to attend.
