On Saturday, March 30, nearly 800 dads and daughters dressed in their best and took to the dance floor for the fourth annual Hudson Daddy Daughter Dance.

Sponsored by Hudson Community Education, the event took place at Hudson Middle School.

The fun-filled event was open to pre-K through fifth grade girls and the special men in their lives (dad, grandpa, uncle, father-figure, etc.) and included dancing, dessert, a craft and keepsake photo from Hudson photographer Capture It Now.

Local DJ Showtime Entertainment kept the dance floor rockin' with hits from both dads' and daughters' generations and crowd favorites like the Chicken Dance and Electric Slide.

"The community's continued response to this event is amazing," said Michelle Saifullah, Hudson Community Education's Program Specialist. "It is such a wonderful opportunity for dads to spend quality time with their daughters."

The event was made possible with the support of dozens of community members and student volunteers with National Honor Society and Youth Action Hudson.

Non-perishable food donations were collected at the event for the Hudson Area Food Shelf.
