The New Richmond Area Chamber of Commerce's 2019 Women's Business Luncheon & Expo will take place May 1 at R and D Catering.
Women's roles in the workplace and the community have continued to expand and progress over the years. Join Regions Hospital President and CEO Megan Remark as she discusses how women are making a positive impact in the labor force. She'll share her journey as a leader and the personal principles of leadership that help her to stay focused, balanced and grounded.
The event culminates with the selection of the Business Woman of the Year. That award, now in its eighth year, is given every year. Among the nominees vying for 2019 Business Woman of the Year are: Cindy Croes (Countryside Plumbing & Heating), Tammy Belisle (American Family Insurance), Lt. Veronica Koehler (New Richmond Police Dept.), Liesette Rendell, RN (Westfields Hospital), Jillian Thorson (Lift Bridge Yoga), Linda Soifakis (Champ's Sports Bar & Grill), Lisa Woletz (First National Community Bank), and JoAnn Wrich (Westfields Foundation). Each was nominated by a community member. A panel of judges will review nominations in the coming weeks, and among many factors, choose the recipient they feel is most deserving.
This year's event expects 300 attendees and 40 booths showcasing area organizations and businesses. Doors open at 10:30 am., with expo booths open from 11 a.m. to 1p.m. Lunch is served at 1 p.m., while the program runs until 3:30 p.m. A post-event reception follows, for those interested, from 3:30-5 p.m.
